Cancellation of tours with Glacier Travel ehf
As we start to incur costs from the time the contract is confirmed we will apply cancellation charges as shown below from the time when written notification of the cancellation is received:

Cancellations with more than 28 days' notice before tour departure:You will be refunded 60% of the total tour price. 40% is non-refundable, as this represents our direct cost of booking and preparing your tour.

Cancellations with less than 28 days' notice before tour departure:You will be refunded 40% of your total tour price. 60% is non-refundable, as this represents our direct cost of cancelling any arrangements made for your tour.

Cancellations with less than 120-hours' notice before tour departure:

No refund will be given if tours are cancelled with less than 5 day notice, as Glacier Travel will be charged for all costs such as guides, transport etc.
Safety equipment needed for each tour is provided by Glacier Travel
All cancellation fees held by Glacier Travel are only intended to cover our direct cost of cancelling your tour.
All communications relating to this contract (in particular any requests to cancel or amend your tour arrangements) must be from the Lead Name in writing and in English and delivered by, email or sent by recorded delivery post to Glacier Travel ehf. The reimbursement shall be made in accordance with all procedures and provided within 7 working days, and the stipulated amount will be transferred to the same credit card that was employed for the acquisition of the tour. If the tour price was paid with a wire transfer, account info (SWIFT/IBAN) should be included in the cancellation email.
Prices are in Icelandic Krona (ISK) as shown on our web site. Prices and departures are guaranteed after full payment has been made.
CHANGES
All our trips and outdoor activities are weather and condition depended. Glacier Travel reserve the right to change your itinerary or cancel your trip with your safety in mind. If we are forced to cancel your trip due to factors outside of our control before it starts you will receive at least 80% refund of fully prepaid trip. If we are forced to change your itinerary at some point during your trip you may or may not be partly refunded for your tour, this depends on what trip you are on and at what stages that trip is. This refund is never more than 50% since in most cases the majority of our operating costs have already been realized after your trip starts.
Insurance
We advise all our guests to have insurances
